We have had numerous requests to provide the source code to Azure Storage Explorer 3, and have now made it available in the Downloads area. We have been reluctant to do this previously because Azure Storage Explorer 3 did not move past the beta stage. The primary reason for this is that ASE versions 1-3 were written long before the availability of the .NET Storage Client API. As a result, the code had to be based on early Microsoft samples, works at the REST level, and has a lot of complexity. Nor are we making further changes to ASE 3.0 because we are focusing on version 4 which is currently in development. The upcoming Azure Storage Explorer 4 will be far superior because it uses the latest Storage Client APIs: the code is compact and elegant and we will be making it available from day 1.
