Run version 3.0 as Administrator?

Oct 31, 2009 at 5:19 PM

In Win7, I don't have an option to run version 3.0 as an Administrator, at least in the Start menu.  Apparently it needs to run as Administrator to edit the storage settings.  Thoughts?

What do you think about keeping the storage settings in a file or the registry in a place which doesn't require Administrator privileges to edit?

Hi. If you cant' run as an administrator, you can edit the storage settings directly in the configuration file (AzureStorageExplorer.exe.config).

Shouldn't I be able to right-click the app in the Start menu and then select "Run as Administrator"?  I'm not given that option.

Please upgrade to version 4. This is no longer an issue, the configuration is now stored in the user's Application Data folder and no admin access is necessary.
